The soul/face behind Carbon Affair or The Founder:

 

As the visionary founder and a driving force behind Carbon Affair, Darshan Sancheti is a true luminary in the world of fine diamonds and Temple jewellery. Darshan first interned at a traditional jewellery shop for six months and this is what drew him towards the sparkling world of diamonds. Right after he set out on a transformative journey when he applied for and was awarded a scholarship at the renowned Gemological Institute of America where he honed his expertise in the art and science of diamonds. Darshan is a skilled gemologist, having successfully completed an intensive diamond course at GIA.

 

Thereafter, he joined the institute as a diamond grader and later went on to teach the same to the students there. Parallelly, he completed other courses like Pearl grading, Gemology, Colored Stone Grading, Applied Jewellery Professional and small diamond assortment too.

He has been conducting various seminars for industry experts and upgrading his knowledge while upscaling his skills. He has donned many hats including that of all of the Head for training material at the National Diamond Council while also helping them in the marketing, networking and communication areas.

 

His vast experience in this industry led him to see the kind of pricing and quality that was being offered in the market. The jewellery was expensive as compared to the quality being offered. This rigourous education equipped with an in-depth understanding of diamonds, characteristic, grading and valuation gave birth to the entrepreneur in him. Armed with this brilliant knowledge and understanding of the glittering diamond industry, Darshan set out to launch Carbon Affair, a brand that stands as a testament to lightweight, high-quality jewellery which are lighter on the pocket as well.
